We do not have problems with users that are connecting to SFTPs using OpenSSH, but this is the first user that has attempted to use Putty. Not sure if it will be easier to spend time trying to resolve the issue with chilkat or use the time finding alternatives to chilkat which may connect successfully. Is there a way I can get more detail about what the issue may be, because verbose logging only seems to include the actual key value and algorithm used along with the error. I have tried updating the version of Chilkat we are using to the most recent version and the error remains unchanged. I have done a few searches for this error and it seems all the questions relating to these keys failing are 6+ years old and the exact error message is typically not the same as the one I am seeing. Using the provided key file with Chilkat though and calling either the FromOpentSshPrivateKey() or FromPuttyPrivateKey methods the same result is returned where the method returns false and the PrivateKey.LastErrorText shows the error message just reporting as "Invalid Putty Private Key (2)". If you already have created keys for SSH access, the same keys will be used for SFTP. If needed, create your public and private keys as per the instructions in the SSH access for Shared Hosting.
